Miscellaneous Tips

Regardless of the city ordinances, fencing, alarm systems, and all of the precautions that a parent can employ, little ones can find ways over, under, around and through protection devices to get to a pool. So remember:

ALWAYS BE ON GUARD

YOU, AS THE PARENT, ARE YOUR CHILD'S

ONLY TRUE DROWNPROOFING

If you see hazard

Deal with it immediately…Don’t wait!!!

Don’t ignore anything that might be slightly dangerous. Look for accidents about to happen.

So many accidents occur

because a parent or responsible adult

procrastinates dealing with a safety issue

at the time it is observed.

DON”T find your self in the position of saying

“If only I had……….”

You can NEVER undo a tragedy!!!

Buckets

Buckets filled with water and other liquids,

especially five gallon buckets,

are a hazard to young children..

Children are curious and lean forward to play

in the water and topple in headfirst.

They are too small to get themselves out.

When doing household chores

empty liquid out of buckets when finished

or place them in a secure place before taking a break.

A child can drown in less than an inch of liquid.

Store buckets upside down and out of child’s reach.

Knocked out tooth

If a child’s tooth gets knocked out

immediately place the tooth or piece of tooth

in milk and get to the dentist as soon as possible.

Sometimes teeth can be implanted

back into the socket and saved.

It is worth a try!

Pool owners liability

Liability is high.

Carry a minimum of $1,000,000 Liability Policy

over and above your basic homeowners policy.

Even if you are gone for weekend

and kids jump fence…

someone drowns…

YOU ARE LIABLE !!!

Protect your self and your family.
